UPDATE: The touchscreen and tablet mode are back!! (but now I'm having HDMI external display issues. I tried "Driver Easy" to see if it could locate and download the driver, but it didn't have it either.

I checked with Microsoft and they don't have it either. I've checked the downloads available for my model (SP315-51-37E7) on Acer's website and no touchscreen driver is listed. Windows 10 has been completely updated, I've restarted, and it's still not there. I did a clean installation of Windows 10, that didn't work either. I right-clicked to see if I could update/reinstall/repair the driver, however, those options were not available. I enabled "show hidden" and I saw it then. I checked Device Manager and didn't see it. This laptop is OUT of warranty.I was using my Spin 3 (Acer SP315-51-37E7) in tablet mode a few days ago when all of a sudden, the touchscreen stopped working. They just recommend what I have already done. It seems like the right driver is not installed, and Windows isn't recognizing that I even have a touchscreen (which I most assuredly do), but since I have updated ALL of the HP drivers I don't know where else to look, and HP support has been zero help. I have searched online in vain for a fix.

Several attempts of "Scan for hardware changes" in Device Manager. It works perfectly there and completes the touchscreen testĤ. A complete Windows reset, which wiped all my apps but not personal filesĤ. Now, the touchscreen does not work and the device is not showing up in Device Manager.

I have a HP laptop with a touchscreen which has been working fine until a few days ago when I attempted to update some drivers.
